The scout troop has weekly meetings on Thursday evenings from 19:00 until 21:00. These meetings are run for boys aged 11 to 17, and vary from large pioneering construction meetings to smoke bomb, scavenger hunt and cooking meetings.
One of the reasons I became a Scout was to spend more time with friends in the outdoors. It’s among the greatest experiences in life and should be accessible to everyone, no matter where they live, what they look like or how they grew up. ~ Bear Grylls
We're a very active troop, hosting kloofing trips in the warmer months as well as weekend hikes, caving adventures and longer outdoor trips throughout the year. We frequent Table Mountain and the Cederberg area, and hold a number of traditional yearly excursions. Some of these include a Winter Hike in search of snow-capped peaks, a Summer ski-camp for our dosage of water-skiing and sun, and a December troop camp, which is the highlight of the year for many.
If this sounds like your element, feel free to contact us or join us for one of our Thursday meetings; you won't regret it!
