Rayners Trophy

Picture
This is the Regional Junior Hiking Competition.

Teams from all over the Province come and participate in this competition. Teams are categorized as Patrols of 4 scouts under the age of 15 years old, there are often occurrences where there are patrols of only 3 scouts, but that is not a preferable situation.

The location of the competition is a mystery, much like the Rayner Competition, but it will always start within 100km from Cape Town.
You only hear about the exact starting location in the last week before the competition.

It is a Hiking Competition, so the idea is that there is some hiking, it's normally around 5-10km.
There are normally a whole lot of bases along the way, run by scouters, where there are skills assessments, challenges to solve and other awesome bases.
Points are scored at each base, and if you're too far behind, you have to skip the base.

Skills bases are run on a Pathfinder / Adventurer level.
